Alice Miller
About Us

Hi, we are Adva, Aviv, Shira and Avital and we really enjoyed working on the site presented to you. We are 14 years old, eighth graders at Kugel Middle School in Holon. During the exercise we learned new and interesting things about Alice Miller, as well as tools for working as a group, that can help us in the future. We are very happy that we were given the opportunity to get to know a groundbreaking Israeli woman and pride in depth.
We group members want to tell why Alice Miller is inspiring to us and why we see her as an empowering woman.
Throughout history men have "ruled" the world and women have been left behind.
Only in the middle of the 19th century did women have the right to acquire education,
In the Western world only at the beginning of the 20th century were women given the right to vote,
And to this day there are countries where women have no rights,
Even until 1995 in Israel, women could not take a pilot's course.
Witness to the petition of Alice Miller in the High Court in which she demanded that the rights of women be compared to those of men in the IDF.
We as girls see that there is still gender discrimination even today, in our private environment.
For example in our school, boys who come with shorts usually do not wake up, while girls do.
We see Alice as a woman who is not afraid to fight for her rights, she always knew what she wanted to do, and fought to make her dream come true. Although many people underestimated her, it did not bother her, she believed in herself all the way and knew that in the end she would succeed.
As girls who know we will have to continue to fight for our rights it is very empowering and shows us that we have the power to change, and maybe one day we ourselves will become groundbreaking women.
It gives us hope for a better future, and strength to continue to fight for our position in society. Alice inspires us, and she is certainly a role model and admirer.
Today, there are quite a few squadrons, and it is solely thanks to her!
